New Sports Grill Opens In Queensbury

QUEENSBURY, NY (November 19, 2012) – The new Recovery Sports Grill in Queensbury officially opened its doors to the public at 4 p.m. last Thursday. The new location is the Albany-based restaurant group’s eleventh owned-and-operated property, and eighth in New York. A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony is being planned for December 7 at 9:30 a.m.
Located at 751 Upper Glen St. in PriceRite Plaza, the 7,000-square-foot, 200-seat restaurant features over 30 high-definition TVs—including a number of high def projection screens—with Soundog tabletop speaker boxes, offering a multitude of sports on each daily. Additionally, there is an outdoor patio and arcade area, emphasizing the restaurant’s family-friendly atmosphere.

The restaurant, which will employ 70 full time and part time employees, offers fresh, casual American fare made in-house each day.

The décor is largely tied in with area sports teams, high schools, and colleges, giving fans of the Adirondack Phantoms, the Glens Falls Golden Eagles, the Glens Falls Greenjackets, Queensbury High School, and Glens Falls Senior High School all something to cheer about; this Saturday the restaurant will show the state championship football game between Glens Falls and Maine-Endwell on two of its 150 inch projection screens.

Three new Recovery Sports Grill properties have opened since September, with locations in Malta, Charleston, W.V., and most recently Queensbury. A fourth restaurant is due to open in early January at Hamilton Square in Guilderland, formerly known as the 20 Mall.

The Recovery Sports Grill is a sports-themed restaurant group founded in 2007 as the Recovery Room Sports Grill: a single location across from the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. The independently owned and operated company is a division of the Albany-based BBL Family of Companies.

The Recovery Sports Grill is open seven days a week:
Monday through Thursday: 11a.m. to 11p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 11a.m. to midnight
Sunday: Noon to 10 p.m.
Thanksgiving: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
