Excelsior Chef Takes Home Three Awards

Executive Chef, Thomas Gulbranson of the Excelsior Springs in Saratoga received three awards during the 8th Annual Northeast Kidney Foundation Chili Challenge held on Thursday, November 5 at the Excelsior. The event is held to raise awareness for the need of organ donors with proceeds supporting local services for kidney patients. Chef Gulbranson competed against chefs from 12 other area restaurants and walked away with Best Overall (chosen by celebrity judges), Best Overall (people’s choice) and Most Creative – Runner Up (people’s choice) awards.

Chef Gulbranson previously won the 2015 Big Brothers, Big Sisters Chef’s Challenge held at the Excelsior earlier this year.
